Hydraulic hose

A hose is a flexible material made up of different chemical properties to form a cover,a tube and reinforcements.Hoses are flexible rubber materials or pipe which consists of a cover, a tube and reinforcements inorder to tranfer solid, liquid or gas particle from one area to another

Hoses are manufactured by some companies like Gates, Weatherhead , Aeroquip , Parker , Power hydraulics , Eaton, Enerpac hydraulics and multiples of them in Usa, Canada, United kingdom, China, Japan, Korea, Scotland, Turkey, India e.t.c.

Types of hoses

1).Water suction and discharge hoses:

they are hoses formed to transfer and receive water products. Water service hoses are made up of a tube , a cover and the reinforcement. Both the tube and the cover can be made of EPDM rubber material that has the ability to resist weathering and moisture. The reinforcements are made up of textile braid and a helix wire.

2). fuel and oil hoses suction and discharge hoses:

are hoses made up of a tough Neoprene Rubber material. They are use for discharging and receiving of Fuel, Oil, Diesel etc. They resist oil, weathering and abrasion.

3).Hydraulic hoses :

hydraulic hoses are high pressure hoses that are manufactured to transfer hydraulic fluids. And under the normal working pressure.
hydraulic hoses are grouped into two main categories

a)Medium pressure hydraulic hoses: they are hoses used to transfer hydraulic fluid under 500 -1000 psi working pressure.
They include, 100R1AT textile braided medium pressure R5 hose and R9 hose. And a rough body 100R1AT Medium pressure hoses.

b). High pressure hydraulic hoses: high pressure hoses consists of 100R2AT hydraulic hose., 100R12 Hydraulic hose, 100R13 hydraulic hoses e.t.c.

4): chemical and acid hoses:

Used in the suction and discharge of chemical products and acid. The cover is made up of Neoprene rubber material while the tube is made of a tough and flexible Teflon materials inside.

5).Dredging/material handling hoses:

they are very tough material hoses used for sand dredging. They are made up of natural gum rubber as both the tube and cover.

HOSE COUPLINGS TYPES

1). Hose king nipples

Hose barb king nipples are fitted directly into the hose before crimping them to the hose clamps or crimp sleeves. The use of manual crimping of hose barb king nipples requires a double bolt clamping or clips but it depends on the type of pressure such hose can withstand.
Hose barb king nipple has different sizes. And the ranges from a 1/4 inch to 16 inches.

2). Camlock couplings:

camlock fittings are one of the quickest materials used in hose fitting operation ,Cam and grove consists of brass,aluminum,stainless and Teflon materials.The stainless steel material helps to resist rust and they are more durable .stainless cam and grove are used in all form of materials, unlike brass, alluminium and teflon which are used specifically . .The sizes available varies from 1"-8"diameter.
